The Flits

First known as the Flitterers this race was designed to exist on planets that had extremely high gravity, hollow porous bones and minute size helps to keep them from being crushed. On lighter gravity planets they are so light they can actually fly. The wings they possess have evolved from the loose-fitting skin under their arms and along their back that resembles baby fat. It is not a true flight but more of a semi flight; flitting. They have a very youthful appearance and almost a baby face. They have pudgy short arms and legs with semi pudgy bellies. Their hair is light, almost white, thin and wispy by nature. They have no facial or body hair. Eyes are almost universally turquoise blue. The Flit hands and feet are also pudgy, not good for delicate work or griping. The only battle they’re good at is archery, and they are very good.

Walking, they waddle and are slow. They tend to hop and flit to keep up with the other races. Though awkward in appearance, they are quite coordinated and can juggle or catch very well.

For some reason the entire race has an inferiority complex. They make up for it by being arrogant bullies and had to be separated from the other races to prevent the constant fighting.

Family units are very strong and several generations will live in the same tree house at the same time. Their world is swampy with lakes and tall mushroom like trees which they hollow out for houses and shops.

Their lives are short, no more than 50 years, often only 35 (100 seasons or 70), but they have strong constitutions and rarely get sick.

They have two names. The first name is short often just a letter and they hyphenate to their last names.
