MICHAEL – SENIOR WINKEL PILOT

Michael was second in his class of pilots. Also young, as was the number one pilot in training, Mark, he came from a completely different background.

Michael, unlike Mark, was an elite, third generation. His father sat on the world counsel for population control and his grandfather was one of the original social engineers that developed the ability testing program.

Mark was the third child as well, even though no more than two were supposed to be allowed. This probably had a lot to do with his family encouraging and pulling strings to get him off planet.

He has a very high Intelligence Quota and numbers, vectors, even abstract curved geometrics used in piloting through space, came easily to him. He has a photographic memory and a serious attitude problem.

His six feet of rugged good looks makes it easy for him to get over on the female authority. Indigo black hair and piercing blue eyes melt most women’s resistance but initially irritates most men. His easy going manner and non-ambitious philosophy usually wins the men over in time.

Being second in his class of ten he was chosen to pilot the second of the sleeper ships, The Winkel. He took the near banishment assignment in stride and warmed to a new life lightyears away from his awkward position in Earth’s elite crowd.
