Carl Hunnock

Th chief engineer of the Winkel. Carl was one of the original designers of the sleeper ships and had turned down the berth on the first one out, The Eden, to continue to improve on the ion drive he’d developed.

He is a sour natured individual, methodical and thorough. There isn’t a system on board that he isn’t versed enough in to at least grasp the theory of how it may work. Though he is extremely well educated in the workings of the machinery he is all thumbs and impatient as a technician. He draws, calculates, and directs but the true technicians keep him away from any hands-on applications.

Early on, while the project was still in a laboratory setting, he had been scarred and injured in a structural accident. His face was left scared and his hands shook ever since.
