THE SLEEPER SHIPS
4/30/20
The ship is a series of six cylinders bound together and connected to the operations wheel. The ram scoop is out front but the solar sails are alongside the cylinders.
The cylinders house all the cryogenic equipment, the embryo storage, compartments of colony apparatus, hydrogen batteries, the labs, and the hatching chambers or “plantations”, and any other miscellaneous necessities.
The operations wheel is where daily life aboard the ship happens, the command deck, engineering, medical clinics, awakened quarters, communications rooms, and the ships brain or primary computer.
The solar sails, which collect sunlight for electrical conversion are positioned on the cylinders and can be deployed or retracted as needed to keep the ships batteries charged. A bonus by product or resultant waste product of the conversion is hydrogen which augments the ram scoop’s collectors.
The ram scoop in the front collects space particles, mostly hydrogen, for conversion in the magnetic refraction engines to ion propulsion.
