Noah’s Family
Noah is a farmer. He farms the usual truck crops for his family and keeps chickens, pigs and a cow. The family’s income is derived from the vineyards. Though he sells or barters most the drop he does make some wine for his and his cousin’s families. At the time our story begins he is around 600 years old. In his earlier years he lived in a port city and learned of boat building and some rudiment sailing skills before he is called back to the family farm. He endures this life style but is not overly thrilled with it. He didn’t meet his wife, Emzara, until he returns. They have three sons, Japheth, Ham, and Shem the eldest.
By this time all three of their boys are grown and married. Japheth to ‘Adataneses is a wanderer, sailor, and he is open to new ways and ideas. He and his light skinned wife. ‘Adataneses, believe in majority rule and debating various philosophies and ideas. Ham and the dark skinned Na’eltama”uk are rebellious and vengeful, upsetting the norm and getting even when things don’t go as they would like. Shem, the eldest, and Sedeqetelebab are believers in the word and god, they see a head of household pecking order as the normal way of life. Shem is a savvy trader and believes accumulation and trading up are good for the clan.
Noah leaves the family governing to Emzara and with Shem sees to the farm. Shem’s wife cares for the livestock.
This story is still in its infancy but feel free to paruse the rest of my work at:
