Level one spells consist of up to four strands and never more than two colors. First level users don’t have the “J” (Janiel) to use and knotting different colors multiplies the “J” needed. Also this level is generally limited to crossing, layering, aligning and maybe a simple granny knot. Level one users also rarely can see more than a few of the colored strands beginning with their own element and spreading to the connecting ones.
